Hey Girl Hey! So Glad You're Here.

My name is Fiona -- I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, godmother, niece, friend, and most importantly a chayil woman!  Thank you so much for dropping by my blog today.  Whether it’s to check out a particular post or to explore, I am grateful for whatever role you play in this journey with me.

I have a background in hospitality and telecommunication sales, & marketing as an Account Executive; and I have helped different companies -- primarily hospitality ones -- make millions and millions of dollars over the years -- I’m pretty good at what I do :-).  I am passionate about life, family, giving back -- locally & globally -- hustling, being creative, and striving to live in right-standing with God.

I started this blog two years, after having married the man of my prayers. Becoming a wife has been one of my greatest joys, as well as one of my greatest challenges; yet I have embraced every moment of it.  I had played many roles prior to becoming a wife, but somehow the reality of, “Can I really manage all these hats?”  kicked in after marriage.  I began to question every bit of this overly confident woman that I was. Initially, the fear of failing in my roles, including the ones I hadn’t even stepped into yet, such as being a mother, became real -- almost crippling.

So I had to go back to the basics.  As a young lady growing up, there was a template that was always outlined of what a woman should be -- straight out of Proverbs 31!  The bible calls her a chayil woman. She seemed so unattainable for all those years, but in the midst of my fear I had a revelation that I AM a chayil woman!! And so are YOU!  Since starting this blog, I have since become a mother as well.  And embracing who I am as a chayil woman years back, has made the transition to this honored role of Mommy, one that I have gracefully taken in strides while still wearing all my many different hats.

So I am calling on ALL my sisters -- married, engaged, single, divorced, single-mom, widow, and it's-complicated -- to join me on this journey as we dig deep on what it means to live a Chayil Lifestyle. And to the Fellaz out there stopping by, we’d LOVE to hear from you as well!  I look forward to gleaning from each other on this journey together.
